April Excitement!
While it rains in Nashville the majority of April, it’ll be pouring goodness for the members of BHB! We have so many exciting things taking place.
Tomorrow night is the start of the excitement where we’ll be playing the Josh Hoge hosted Whiskey Jam at Winner’s Bar in downtown Nashville. Follow The Whiskey Jam at @TheWhiskeyJam on twitter. Famous faces tend to show up each Monday night for the event. Will Hoge, One Republic, David Nail, Chris Young, and Tonic. And now, of course, the Bekah Hailey Band will try our hand at the event. It starts right at 8:00. So get there earlier with your face paint on!
On Thursday, April 7th we’ll be playing at 1:30 in the afternoon, but it will be a closed set at 12th and Porter. We’ll be recording a segment for Nashville’s popular “Better Nashville” daytime TV show hosted by Kacy Hagerty. We’ve worked up a really cool acoustic version of “Kissin’ in Cars” to play on the show. Also, the band will be interviewed so we’ll be showing off our speaking skills for all of Nashville. Don’t know how to express how truly excited we are about this opportunity.
On April 16th we’re going back into the studio to record a short acoustic EP. Michael will be showing off his “One Take Charlieness” in the studio once again. We are anticipating an early to mid June release for this EP with two free songs released from it. Early ideas for the acoustic songs are “Sound of the Rain”, “Reasons”, and “Erasing You”. If you have any ideas for acoustic songs we should do, let us know on Facebook or Twitter. Links are provided at the top of the page for all you beautiful people.
And to top off April we’ll be playing at Exit/In on April 17th. This is show where you’ll see me (Matt) playing a ton of electric guitar, Jules rocking out on the drums, Bekah belting the vocals, and Phillip, well, he’ll still be playing acoustic and mandolin. We love mixing things up live, and this will be a good time for us to “let it all it”. To make things even better, this is a benefit show for Project 615 in Nashville. So come out and help support this awesome charity organization. All profits from CD sales that night will go to the charity.
After all of that, we’ll be taking naps or posting phenomenal statuses on Twitter.
See you guys soon,
Matt
